TrueVee® mouthpieces are machined by hand using American-made yellow brass or stainless steel. They are made one-at-a-time when ordered using custom-made tools and reamers and constantly measured thoughout the machining process for accuracy. With the exception of reproductions, all of our mouthpieces have a V-cup and standard #27 throat size. The head is a solid mass of material for pure tone. Brass mouthpieces can be plated in silver or nickel at the customer's request. Additionally, mouthpieces can be delivered in raw brass if desired. Stainless Steel mouthpieces are not plated as there is really no need to do so. 316 Stainless Steel has the appearance of silver plating and is practically indestructible. Typical dents and dings common with brass mouthpieces will not happen to Stainless Steel. |
